The Prodigal Son
The Bible as in Literature

This short section is about two brothers, both with very different meanings of what good fortune and living is. The one brother, it explains is very boisterous and lives with a high standard with “claiming the fattened calf” and enjoying wine and the splendid possessions that are received only with greed. The other brother it explains has more of a lesser, working demeanor with how he doesn’t give in to his brothers persuasions. In the end though, the one brother dies as the other one weeps.

Jesus wrote "Parables" which were short stories, his explaining his lessons. "The Good Samaritan" is about a man who helped another man that came down from Jerusalem and Jericho, had been stripped of his clothing, wounded, and left half dead. A priest came by him, and ignored him, while a Samaritan found him, bandaged him, poured oil and wine on his wounds, gave him his own animal, bought him a room at a inn, and took care of him. "The Unforgiving Servant" is about The servant that owed a man ten thousand talents, he did not have them so he grabbed by the neck, as he was, the servant screamed and fell before him saying "Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all". The next story is "The Pharisee and the Tax Collecter" Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharaisee and the other a tax collecter, they try to "out do" eachother, while praying to god. "The Kingdom of Heaven" is about the kingdom that is hidden in great fields, and finding it is like a merchant finding great pearls. "The Great Supper" is about a servent that cooks jesus his last supper. 'The Lost Sheep" is about tax collecters and sinners that are accusing them of having sheep, if he loses one he will only have 99 to go out in the woods with. "The Lost Coin" is about if a women was to have ten silver coin, and she loses one, then, will she search the entire house for it, and if she found it would she throw a party with all her friends and rejoice?"
